Privacy Policy

The short version
- ClipDowns has no accounts — we never ask for your name, email or Instagram login.
- Links you paste are used to process your request and then discarded. We keep no download history.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone.
What we collect
Links you paste. When you submit an Instagram URL or username, it is used solely to locate the public media you asked for. It is processed transiently and is not stored in a database, tied to you, or used to build any profile.
Server logs. Like almost every website, our web server writes standard technical logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested page, timestamp) for security and debugging. These logs are rotated and deleted on a short schedule and are never used for advertising.
Nothing else. We do not run third-party advertising trackers, we do not use social media pixels, and we do not fingerprint your device.
Cookies and local storage
ClipDowns does not set tracking cookies. The site may use your browser's local storage for purely functional preferences (for example, your chosen language or the service worker cache that makes pages load faster and work offline). That data stays on your device and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
The content you download
Files you save go directly to your own device. We do not keep copies of the media you download, and we cannot see what you do with it afterwards. Responsibility for how downloaded content is used rests with you — see our Terms of Service.
Children
ClipDowns is not directed at children under 13, and because we collect no personal information there is nothing for a child to hand over. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us in some other way, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Material changes will not apply retroactively.
